While being held at knifepoint by her boyfriend, a genius Florida mother used Pizza Hut’s delivery app to essentially order up some police. The boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson, had confiscated Cheryl Treadway’s cell phone, but she convinced him to let her order a pepperoni pizza. In the special instructions section where ordinary people write “Extra cheesy!” Pizza Hut employees found Treadway’s pleas: “911hostage help!” and “Please help! Get 911 to me.”

A cook saw the messages and showed manager Candy Hamilton, who recognized Treadway’s name (she’s apparently a frequent customer) and called the police. A team then surprised Nickerson at the home and got Treadway and her children out safely. Afterwards, Hamilton told reporters, “We’ve never seen that before … I’ve been here 28 years and never, never seen nothing like that come through.”
