Strange but true. Per the BBC, “Jamie Oliver has revealed he turned down the chance to appear as a Hobbit in one of Peter Jackson’s big screen blockbusters.” The chef says Jackson extended the offer as a thank-you to Oliver, who flew to New Zealand and cooked for the director’s 50th birthday. Oliver says he really wanted to make the cameo work, but, alas, his work schedule was too busy.
Dude, even Guy Fieri made time to shoot a scene for The Interview — surely something could have been moved.
