Diner’s Journal reports that A Voce and A Voce Columbus executive chef Missy Robbins will step down from her position and leave both restaurants on Saturday. Robbins, who worked previously at Spiaggia in Chicago, replaced Andrew Carmellini at Marlon Abela’s modern Italian restaurant in September of 2008 and also ran the kitchen at its uptown counterpart, which opened one year later in the Shops at Columbus Circle. Robbins tells Florence Fabricant the split is amicable and the decision was long in the works. “I have no definite plans,” she says. “Nobody believes me and I do have lots of ideas but I’m not in a rush. I want to travel, and work on a book.” Her replacement has not yet been named. [Diner’s Journal/Off the Menu, Earlier]
