John Paul Carmona Pops Up at Naked Kitchen April 20

Before he gets to revealing further details about the casual restaurant he has planned down on the Peninsula, former Manresa chef John Paul Carmona is teaming up with another Manresa alum, Andrew Burnham, to do a seven-course meal on April 20 at Naked Kitchen. The underground dinner features some intriguing stuff, like crushed potatoes dressed in soft eggs, nasturtium and roe; and pork braised in black sesame. There are two seatings, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and it’s $125 per person, not including beverages — it’s BYOB, actually. And it should be an intimate setting in which to see some hints of where Carmona is going with this food. See the full menu and reserve here.
