Longtime Bay Area chef Loretta Keller, who opened the Moss Room at the Academy of Sciences and who owns Coco500 in SoMa, is at the helm of the new restaurant inside the relocated Exploratorium, which opens to the public on Pier 15 next month. As the Scoop reports, Seaglass Restaurant will have a sushi and raw bar at its core, and the sushi chef will be none other than Sachio Kojima, who won some raves last year at Hecho after returning to the city from a multi-year hiatus. The design of the place was done by architect Olle Lundberg, and will incorporate blue glass, steel, and tile.

In addition to fish, there will be rotisserie chicken and more on the menu, we’re told.

Also, Keller is overseeing the museum cafe, dubbed The Seismic Joint. It will feature chowder, salads, and sandwiches to go, and a “coffee trike” outfitted with an espresso machine.

Look for it all to open with the museum on April 17.
