Looks like Han “the Man” Chiang no longer corners the market on face-melting, spicy Szechuan in West Philly with his Han Dynasty branch at 37th and Market streets. Upstart Chili Szechuan, which replaced A Green Garden at 4626 Baltimore Ave. last week is now also bringing the fearsome fire of dry pot, dry pepper and enough hot chili oil to melt a polar ice cap to West Philly’s gastro-thrill seekers. But fear not, the new spot also has an “Amercanized” section on its menu for the heat averse. It’s open for lunch and dinner daily, from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
