We’re just a little more than a week away from the debut of Hub Bub Coffee Bar, a permanent, fixed location for Hub Bub Coffee Truck, which has been perking up groggy Penn students with freshly brewed, small batch coffees since it first rolled up on 38th and Spruce streets back in 2009. The new brick and mortar operation opens on Monday, January 17 at Three Logan Square (1717 Arch Street).

The coffee shop will feature a wrap-around coffee bar, floor-to-ceiling windows, and the obligatory salvaged wood, repurposed from old barns. Owner Drew Crockett will brew indie beans from producers like ReAnimator and Stumptown on Fetco coffeemakers and a La Marzocco GB5 commercial espresso machine, and source dairy and baked goods from local sources. Don’t worry, the truck will continue serving the drowsy and under-motivated in University City after the bar opens.
