When they announced a year ago that they were closing their small but ambitious restaurant eVe on University Avenue, Berkeley chefs (and Chicago transplants) Chris and Veronica Laramie said that they had a bigger project in the works with some investors already on board. Since then, they've turned the eVe space into the popular Peruvian-style rotisserie Brasa, and Veronica's become pregnant with her first child, so she tells us that the bigger restaurant has been put on the back burner for now probably for another year.
