The ongoing Valencia-fication of Divisadero will turn a new corner in the new year when Bi-Rite opens its second location next door to Nopa. But before that happens, Four Barrel’s second location, The Mill, which is paired with a bakery by Josey Baker, will make its full-fledged debut at 736 Divisadero (between Grove and Fulton). The team is now quickly putting finishing touches on the space, after operating for most of this year out of a curtained-off kiosk up front, serving just coffee and a daily homemade toast (today’s was apricot bread with butter, brown sugar, and maldon salt). And now they’re hoping to have the completed space ready by the end of the year, though construction and final inspections could always delay things. Also, let’s not forget about the Portola branch of Four Barrel (San Bruno Avenue at Burrows Street), which should also be opening soon. [Earlier]
