A Spanish sandwich concept called Solo Tapas is due next to Delphine at The W Hotel Hollywood, promising daily deliveries of pre-baked bread from Sevilla’s PanSur on a wide menu of sandwich options, along with Iberian-imported wine, sangria, and Ferran Adria’s Estrella Damm Inedit beer from a fully loaded bar. This Walk-of-Fame location will be the first in a planned expansion to five stores in the next year, and eventually a franchise model with hundreds of outlets in mind. No specific menu information is being disclosed just yet by the Spanish owners behind the concept, but they do let on that this will be tapas in the form of traditional montados, small bites “mounted” atop baguette slices, as well as full on bocadillo sandwiches with ingredients like chorizo, jamon Serrano, and manchego, along with glimpses of tortilla española and mussels on the shop’s website. The atmosphere intends to recreate the feel of a Spanish tapas bar and owners say they’ve already inked a deal for a second location to come Downtown following the initial opening.
