Once upon a time in the late sixties, Bill Graham used to bring a lot of famous, rock-and-roll friends through The Trident in Sausalito. Former bartender Bobby Lazoff claims to have invented the Tequila Sunrise, which became a favorite drink of Mick Jagger’s after he made him one, and Janis Joplin frequented the place too, among others. Now it’s getting a second life this weekend, after spending a couple decades known as Horizons. The Scoop reports that some new hardwood floors have gone in, and you can see the new dinner menu here, from chef James Montejano, a former sous chef at Michael Mina.

The original Trident existed from 1966 to 1976, and now the new owners come from San Francisco’s iconic Buena Vista Café.

Also, it might be a perfect spot from which to view some Fleet Week action, though we don’t know how much of the America’s Cup regatta will be visible from over there.

The Trident - 558 Bridgeway, Sausalito - 415-331-3232 - Open daily for lunch and dinner.
