The Beer Hall Is Headed to Polk and Market

The Argenta

Next up in our city’s boomlet of beer halls is The Beer Hall, which is on its way to one of the ground floor spaces at The Argenta complex at One Polk Street. The owners are Andrew and Jennifer Hall (hence the name), and the plan is for a tasting bar and retail shop, not unlike the recently expanded City Beer Store in SoMa, we’d surmise. So far we don’t see them applying for an off-sale license, just the regular beer and wine serving license, so perhaps the retail component will be delayed, and in any event we’d put this out in early 2013 given the turnaround for liquor licenses. The Beer Hall will join Abbot’s Cellar, Southern Pacific Brewing Co., and the upcoming Magnolia brewery in Dogpatch (2505 3rd Street at 22nd), which will have an American BBQ menu from Namu Gaji’s Dennis Lee.
