SOM (2925 16th Street), the nightclub and bar that was formerly known as Liquid and then briefly Pink, is getting a revamp under a new owner and manager. Grub Street spoke with manager Patty West who is relaunching the space this weekend as Slate. It sounds like she’s trying to class the place up a bit and perhaps make it a little more loungey, and less clubby. She says, “We still have DJ music but have put in a beautiful pool table and seating area.” We’ll update you when we know the exact, official opening date, but it may be as early as Friday.
