Susan Feniger Comes to Cook and Sign Books For Us Next Week

Los Angeles chef Susan Feniger, famous for opening Border Grill with her friend and fellow Top Chef Masters alum Mary Sue Milliken, is out on tour promoting her new book, Street Food: Irresistibly Crispy, Creamy, Crunchy, Spicy, Sticky, Sweet Recipes. Some, like Gilt Taste’s Francis Lam, might argue that the whole street food thing is already mid-shark-jump and that street food doesn’t equal authenticity. But Feniger says, “I believe that in any country, what you see and taste on the street is the best food you’ll find, because it’s usually one family’s recipe handed down and perfected over generations.” She’ll be cooking from the book at Insalata’s in San Anselmo on Thursday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m. Then she’ll be in the city signing books at Omnivore on the 21st at 6 p.m., and again at Book Passage at the Ferry Building on the 22nd at 1 p.m.
