Isaac Mejia, the 51-year-old owner of Don Pico’s and The Rib Shack in San Bruno, was killed Saturday night in a solo auto accident on I-280. He was 51. Mejia’s parents, Issac Mejia Sr. and Herlinda Mejia, opened the popular Mexican restaurant, Don Pico’s, in downtown San Bruno in 1975, and he took it over in 1999. As the Burlingame Patch reports, Mejia had a love for antiques and decorated the restaurant with items like an Austrian crystal chandelier from the Ferry Building, and an old mahogany bar from the Cliff House. He leaves behind a wife and daughter. [Burlingame Patch via Tablehopper]
