Hirsch Likes Everything But the Chicken and Waffles at Auntie April’s Chicken and Waffles
Jesse Hirsch this week headed out to the Bayview for some simple soul food, claiming he was suffering from a bit of “upscale comfort food fatigue.” He picked Auntie April's Chicken and Waffles, and he was far from disappointed. At least in the butter-drenched grits, the catfish breakfast special, the oxtails, and the enormous, "Flintstones-size" turkey wing smothered in gravy. As for the actual chicken and waffles? Eh.
