Hipster coffee outfit Four Barrel, which tries its best to have a sense of humor about its self-consciously hipster clientele, is opening up a third coffee bar this fall on San Bruno Avenue at Burrows Street. As the Scoop reports, the Portola neighborhood reached out to owner Jeremy Tooker, and he says they’re reserving the Four Barrel name “for developing neighborhoods that reach out to us and really want it.” Four Barrel is currently serving coffee out of a temporary kiosk at 736 Divisadero, which will ultimately open as The Mill, in partnership with bread guy Josey Baker. The Portola Four Barrel, which itself is kiosk-sized at 800 square feet, hopes to be open by November, and The Mill should be open by then too.
