Eastern Addition Brings the Poleng Lounge Team Back for a Divisadero Pop-Up

The long-gone Poleng Lounge gave way to the former Summit (where owner Desi Danganan shortly tried to launch a counter-service and “third space” operation before having to close earlier this year), and to San Mateo’s Attic, where chef Tim Luym has been continuing to serve pan-Asian street food to the Peninsula set. Now, as Eater reports, Danganan and Luym are teaming up again for a series of Wednesday pop-ups at Vinyl (359 Divisadero Street) called Eastern Addition. Danganan says there aren’t enough Asian options in NoPa, and he wants to change that. The first Eastern Addition event will be sponsored by The Bold Italic and it will be an all-you-can-eat oyster fest at their headquarters (34 Page Street) on October 6. (Tickets via donation to this Kickstarter campaign.) Then the first pop-up happens on October 17 at Vinyl with Luym and former Bushi-tei owner Tak Matsuba. There also may be some brick-and-mortar plans for the future, so stay tuned. [Eater]
