Go and get some Del Popolo pizza for lunch today at Grant and Geary as part of PARK(ing) Day, a global event in which artists transform public parking spaces into temporary parklets. The event dates back to 2005, and today’s S.F. event features architects Bohlin Cywinski Jackson (BCJ) and horticulturalists from Flora Grubb Gardens, and a parklet that includes “packable,” modular, weatherproof, outdoor furniture … and also wood-fired pizza from a truck. The fun goes from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it’s a lovely day out, so check it out.
