Well, the lights were on and the candles were lit last night for a private gathering at Farina Pizza, and we shot a couple of photos of the space as it is. There is, as you can see, a vestibule with a sort of to-go counter up front, so they will be going toe to toe with Pizzeria Delfina up the street in the upscale, takeaway pizza business. And the seating inside is limited, however there will be ample seating on the sidewalk as soon as that permit comes through. A rep for Farina tells Grub Street today that the grand opening will be Monday, August 20, but you may want to be on the lookout for any soft openings that might sneakily occur before then. We promise to bring you some better photos next week.
