Taking over the former Clay Oven space at Haight and Fillmore, as previously reported, is Wonderland, which opens today. It’s the Lower Haight’s first Chinese restaurant, and it’s being run by a guy who used to co-own Wild Pepper in the Mission. Owner ‘Wayne’ Ning Zhe Wen tells Local Addition that they’re giving everyone a fifteen-percent discount for opening day, and they specialize in vegetarian and “meatless chicken” dishes.
