If you haven’t made it there yet, you have a couple of months or so left to check out Sonoma’s Estate (400 West Spain), an artisanal Italian restaurant run by Sondra Bernstein and John Toulze of The Girl and the Fig. The owners announced over the weekend that Estate will be closing its doors this fall because the building that houses the restaurant has been bought by Darius Anderson of Ramekins Culinary School and Event Center. There’s no information yet on what he will be doing with the space.

Likewise, Bernstein and Toulze don’t currently have plans to relocate the restaurant, but as Inside Scoop reports, the pair will be bringing back some Estate dishes at pop-up events at their new culinary event space, Suite D, which officially opens on August 4 as part of the Eighth Street Winery Association Open House. Let’s hope they hold on to their delectable artisanal grappa bar in some form.

Eater notes that the Girl & the Fig restaurant is celebrating its 15th anniversary this summer.
