Those in the Mission Bay area with a hankering for some tasty artisanal sandwiches, which happen to all be available in gluten-free versions, should keep an eye out for Sigsbee’s bright red truck parked at the corner of Bridgeview Way and Pierpont Lane. As Tablehopper reports, Sigsbee’s opened for business two weeks ago and have been serving up breakfast and lunch five days a week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sigsbee’s is run by siblings Tony and Jennifer Jett who are working with their brother-in-law, executive chef Garritt Blanz (Lark Creek Group, Beast & the Hare). The Jetts, who both have celiac disease, tell SFoodie that they’ve taken a back-to-basics vision with their menu and aim to offer the kind of food that can be eaten several times a week.

Menu items (priced from $6.50 to $9.50) include Sigsbee’s signature Deviled Egg Sandwich, along with Roast Beef, Pork, and Turkey, and an Italian Veggie Melt. For breakfast, check out the mouth-watering Egg, Bacon and Fontina cheese sandwich.

Keep in touch with Sigbee’s on Facebook and Twitter.
