Just like that, one of the hipper spots in Oakland’s Temescal district closed last week, and that would be the coffee shop called Remedy (4316 Telegraph Avenue) that often had vintage tables and chairs set up out on the sidewalk. You can see a clip from a goodbye dance party on Friday on their Facebook wall. Owner Todd Spitzer has been slinging Ritual Roasters lattes and the like for several years now, and it’s unclear what shut the place down. The East Bay Express notes that the closure surprised most of the neighborhood. [EBX]
