Just open at 5120 Geary Boulevard is the second U.S. location of Japanese ramen chain Men Oh Tokushima Ramen, which previously only existed in Union City. They specialize in house-made, Tokushima-style noodles and made-from-scratch tonkotsu broth. Tokushima, on the island of Shikoku, is known for its pigs, and so the chain has built a name around its rich broth made from pork bones. Also, they put stir-fried pork belly on top of the soup, and you can have an optional raw egg as well. Coming soon to the menu, they tell us, is tokoyaki, which are octopus balls. Note that this week they’re doing lunch only, with dinner starting this weekend. [Tablehopper, Earlier]
