Where to Eat After Midnight in S.F.? There’s an App for That

Marcia Gagliardi of Tablehopper fame has just launched her first app for the iPhone (Android version coming soon), and it’s a handy, GPS-enabled guide to all the late-night food options in San Francisco. Late-night here, of course, means post-11 p.m., which is a sad thing for every New York transplant, but it is what it is, and some of you would be surprised how many Chinese hole-in-the-walls and tucked-away diners are actually open very late. Gagliardi knows her way around town and offers up her opinions on must-order dishes in the brief blurbs about each place, and she’s managed to find almost 100 of them, including the nicer stuff like Nopa and Magnolia where the kitchen doesn’t close before midnight like everywhere else. It’s $2.99 to download, but like your Uber account you’ll probably thank yourself for having it one of these drunken nights, stranded in an unfamiliar ‘hood and desperate for French fries. [iTunes]
