He was just here for Manresa’s tenth anniversary, but Jeremy Fox announces today that he’s going to be opening his first solo restaurant in Venice, California, and it will be called Barnyard. He’d been on the hunt for spaces in L.A. since last fall, and now he’s found one in the former Benice Café space at 1715 Pacific Avenue. You can expect his unique brand of seasonal, inventive, vegetable-focused cuisine, heavy on the tweezers. Fox fans now must definitively accept that he won’t be coming back, and will need to make the trek down there to relive some of their Ubuntu moments, but now with meat product included.
