Ground has been broken, and an opening has been penciled in for Thursday, May 24th at forthcoming waterfront beer garden, restaurant and live music venue Morgan’s Pier. Foobooz reports that the team of Avram Hornik, Mark Fichera, Sean Agnew, Joe Crouse, Jim Glancy and John Moore have brought in Groundswell Design Group, the landscape architects whose handy work is on display in the outdoor area at Talula’s Garden, and they are currently underway with re-imaging the sprawling outdoor space that once housed Rock Lobster, and Octo for just a minute. Like Talula’s, expect plenty of reclaimed and salvaged materials. And like Starr’s Frankford Hall, the design firm is going to install real, full-grown Linden trees. We guess that means, if not for anything else, the place will have a nice appearance when it finally opens. Here’s hoping the food and service live up to the looks. [Foobooz]
