Check Out the Sequel to Kama Sushi, Opening Shortly on Ninth Street

The intersection of Ninth and Folsom has for a number of years been a pretty quiet place, what with the defunct Schnitzel Haus giving way, briefly, to Daddy O’s at 294 9th Street, and the long defunct Medici Lounge hanging on for occasional events across the street before making way for Azucar Lounge. But now the Schnitzel Haus space is getting reborn again as the second location of Kama Sushi, whose first location just opened in Noe Valley at 1497 Church (formerly Amberjack) last fall.

The new Kama Sushi SoMa is still a week or two off, pending some finishing touches and final inspections, but the formerly German lodge-like, wood-paneled space is pretty cool and appears to work well for the sushi thing too.

We’ll update you as soon as we confirm the opening date with the owners.
