The Corner Store to Replace Shuttered Hukilau

Last week the little Inner Richmond Hawaiian restaurant that had a bit of a reputation for cleanliness issues, Hukilau (5 Masonic Avenue), shut its doors for good. Today, Grub Street finds some hints about what’s replacing it. The new bar/restaurant is called The Corner Store, and the new owners, Ezra Berman and Miles Palliser, come from SoMa music venue 330 Ritch. The plans for the place apparently include breakfast and lunch.

There will be a full bar, and a food menu including dinner, however details are scarce at this point.* The place should be opening in a hurry, however, as the owners secured a temporary liquor license on a fast track.
