Half Acre To Expand Brewery, Open Tap Room on Lincoln

The Tribune’s Josh Noel is like the Johnny Appleseed of beer— every time he talks to a brewery, they decide to open a pub in Chicago. At least that’s our interpretation of the latest news, which is that Half Acre will expand its 4257 N. Lincoln brewery/retail operation to include a 10-tap taproom with room for 100 people. They also plan to invite guest brewers (only pros) to make one-off beers for the taproom. As owner Gabriel Magliaro puts it, “This is a place comprised of a bunch of dudes into brewing who are creative in a number of ways, and who want to stay engaged with what we do.” [Tribune]
