San Francisco's own pastry chef extraordinaire, Emily Luchetti (Waterbar, Farallon), was just elected chair of the board of the James Beard Foundation in New York. She's served on the board for six years already, and was most recently vice-chair. Just last week she was named to the org's prestigious Who's Who at the James Beard Awards. [Scoop]
