Just as the Golden Gate Bridge readies for its 75th Anniversary festivities this Memorial Day weekend, two new restaurants are opening in the Presidio almost within throwing distance of the bridge. First off there’s the Transit Cafe at the Presidio in the former La Terrasse space (215 Lincoln Boulevard), which as the Scoop reports is already open and serving your basic coffee-and-sandwich type situation. And then, on Tuesday, May 29, we’ll see the long-awaited opening of Dixie (1 Letterman Drive), the new Southern-inspired restaurant from former Murray Circle and Meadowood chef, Joseph Humphrey.
