Hawk’s Tavern in Mill Valley Hires Third Chef in Five Months

We haven’t heard a ton about Hawk’s Tavern, the new restaurant that opened in December from restaurateur Peter Schumacher (Buckeye Roadhouse) and consulting chef Tyler Florence. Florence designed the menu, but the restaurant’s had some trouble holding on to a day-to-day chef. As the Scoop reports, they’ve just hired Joe Waggoner, a former sous chef at Florence’s Wayfare Tavern, but only after the departures of opening chef Michael Thiemann, who lasted a month, and Rob Lind, who’s lasted three.
