Northeast Kingdom Launches Lunch; See the Luxe Menu at Mihoko’s 21 Grams

• Our motto has always been, “Brunch big or go home.” Now, The Vinatta Project, fresh on the brunch scene, is making it easy: Their new $65 special includes one entree and a whole pitcher of any cocktail. We can’t believe it, but you’d better believe we’ll be there.

JoeDough Sandwich Shop will mark 4/20 (beginning at 4:20 p.m., naturally) with a “Stoner’s Delight” sandwich, lots of gooey cheese between two pieces of grilled challah bread, for only … $4.20.

• Your days of midday foraging are over: Farm-to-table gem The Northeast Kingdom is now serving lunch.

• The Franco-Japanese menu at Mihoko’s 21 Grams just dropped, and it’s crazy-luxe, with dishes like morels and maitake mushrooms with yuba, and guinea hen cooked in hay. Full lineup here.

• There’s Instagram food porn, @NPHFoodPorn, and now … high-art food porn? Mike Geno, a cheese portraitist, has officially taken the “starving” out of “starving artist.”

Tribeca Film Fest ticket and badge holders will be treated to a free glass of wine at Kutsher’s Tribeca until the last reel rolls on April 29. We wonder: What film should we pair with our Cabernet?

• The talented toques behind the test kitchen at Bon Appétit will prepare a five-course dinner with City Grit supper club on May 3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $100, will benefit Edible Schoolyard NYC.

Eataly’s Earth Day celebration, on April 22 from noon to 6 p.m., will include samples from 28 producers and, at La Birreria, a special Earth Day beer. Batali and Bastianich’s other restaurants, including Babbo and Del Posto, will participate on Earth Day by reducing emissions and, as a bonus, handing out seed packets to diners.

• Beginning April 27, the London Candy Company will debut a line of British-themed ice-cream flavors (flavours?) including Earl Grey Tea and Banana English Toffee. God save the (dairy) queen.

• Hamptons season is almost upon us, and Beaumarchais is getting a jump on summer with an expansion into East Hampton. Dinner service will begin May 18; show up for brunch beginning after Memorial Day.

• A Michigan woman who won a $735,000 lottery prize has been charged with welfare fraud after she continued to use food stamps. Not the same as clipping coupons!

• A popular herbicide is losing its mojo, and farmers are being forced to spend more money to fend off weeds. What would Old MacDonald do?
