Christopher Kearse, who leveraged the chops he honed working at places like Alinea, French Laundry and Philly’s own Lacroix to dazzle diners at Pumpkin, is moving on from the South Street BYOB to pursue his own venture. And that restaurant, which is being described as a BYOB with French inclinations, will open sometime this August along East Passyunk Ave.’s ever growing restaurant row. The 30-seat spot will feature a tiny menu with just four appetizers and five entrees, the Insider reports. With such well established restaurants as Le Virtu, Fond and Stateside as neighbors, Kearse’s still unnamed endeavor will certainly be in good company when it opens. [Insider]
