The much anticipated beer spot at 18th and Church, Cerveceria de MateVeza, looks on track to open next week if all their final inspections pan out. The miniature brewpub will serve seven beers on tap, as the Scoop reports, including two brewed on site and three brewed at the company's Mendocino brewery. Then there'll be two rotating guest taps, and in an added bonus, there'll be offering bottles and growlers to go, for your Dolores Park-ing pleasure.

Also in the good news department: They'll be serving empanadas from El Porteno to soak up some of those suds. And yes, their signature Yerba Mate IPA has naturally caffeinated yerba mate in it,

They're planning to be open from noon to 10 p.m. to start, and we'll alert you as to the exact opening date when we hear it — but there is a possibility they'll be doing a soft opening as early as this weekend, just in time to coincide with Namu Gaji's opening down the street at the other corner of the park.

Cerveceria de MateVeza - 3801 18th Street at Church - Opening around April 3.
