The charming, BART-adjacent Serra Bowl, with its attached, equally charming and retro bar, Danno’s 300 Club, has lost its lease and may have to close on April 15. The 51-year-old Daly City bowling alley posted the news to Facebook last week, and since then there has been an outpouring of affection for the place. There’s going to be a rally on March 10, from noon to 3 p.m., in Serra Bowl’s parking lot to protest to the closure, and try to win over the land owner, who has some undisclosed plans to develop the property. For what its worth, if you love bowling in environments like this where The Dude would feel right at home (unlike, probably, Lucky Strike Lanes, opening Friday with its fancy drinks and such), you should probably show up. Anyhow, at least we still have Presidio Bowl… [SFist]
