Vietnamese Pop-Up Rice Paper Scissors Comes to SFMOMA for One-Time Friday Lunch Break

By

On Friday, January 6, Rice Paper Scissors will be serving up some of their banh mi sandwiches in the Schwab Room off the lobby at SFMOMA, in conjunction with an installation by artist Sharon Lockhart called Lunch Break. Per the museum, the installation features film and photographs through which "Lockhart reflects on the presence of the individual in the context of industrial labor. The exhibition contemplates workers' activities during their time off from production, bringing into view everyday situations that typically escape our collective attention." Huh. All you need to know is that between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. you can get a tomato and sardine banh mi ($6), as well as a regular pork banh mi and a vegetarian duck banh mi ($8), Blue Bottle Coffee, as well as a bag of caramel corn with a custom Post-It-note message attached.
