It’s been a long time gone, but old-timey Tenderloin Italian place Original Joe’s is being born again in a new location, right in our own Little Italy. Original Joe’s reopens tomorrow, right on schedule, after a five-year hiatus following a 2007 fire at their original Taylor Street location, in the former Joe DiMaggio’s space at Stockton and Union. And to boot, despite the hiatus, this year marks the restaurant’s 75th anniversary — born the same year as the Golden Gate Bridge.

Via the Scoop we see the opening menu (.pdf), as well as the decidedly classic cocktail menu (.pdf), and we’re sure both old-timers and nostalgia-obsessed young folk will flock to check it out, and have a steak with a side of spaghetti and red sauce.

We’ll be bringing you some photos shortly.
