Earlier this year we discussed the drama surrounding Teatro ZinZanni’s being forced off of Pier 29 because of the America’s Cup. Today we get news via the Business Times that the eleven-year-old dinner-cabaret-circus has a deal in place to move their semi-permanent tent to the other side of the Embarcadero, where Broadway meets Davis Street. They still have to raise about $4 million to pull off the move (more than half their annual budget), but founder Norman Langill says, “Now that we have a firm location for our new permanent home, we can address the next set of challenges.” Teatro ZinZanni’s last show on Pier 29 will be on New Year’s Eve.
