SF Beer Week proved too popular last February for the space at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and this year’s likely-to-sell-out opening event will instead be at the larger Concourse Pavilion at 8th and Brannan, on February 10. Over fifty NorCal breweries will be in attendance, pouring special brews — some of which you won’t even find at the City Beer Store — and there will likely be one must-drink item like Pliny the Younger last year, for which beer geeks will pay for VIP passes and line up early. [Editors’ Note: We just discovered that there won’t be a VIP hour this year, alas.] If you are one of those beer geeks, or just an avid beer fan, you should get your early bird tickets now, for $55.
