Regarding Pal’s Takeaway and Their New TV Dinners

TV Dinner, sans dessert.
TV Dinner, sans dessert.

We mentioned a few weeks back how beloved Mission sandwich shop Pal’s Takeaway (inside Tony’s Market at 2751 24th Street) was starting to do prepared ‘TV Dinners’ for twelve bucks a pop, available in the evening hours. Tasting Table now gives their official thumbs up, writing, “In place of mystery meat, there are recognizable cuts from reputable farms, and instead of boatloads of salt, the meals are flavored with fresh herbs, chiles and preserved lemons.” And yes, all for twelve dollars, and you can even have them deliver meals to your door — but you have to place your order by 2:30 p.m., spend $25 at minimum, and live in the Mission, Bernal Heights, Castro, or Mission-adjacent parts of SoMa. Dessert is separate, however, and sadly not included in a little corner section of the tray. [Tasting Table, Earlier]
