A new late-night sausage-and-chili destination has opened to cater to the Tenderloin drinking crowd. It’s called Quick Fix, and it’s the project of Whiskey Thieves bartender Jeff Pytel and former Little Bird employee Sam Enciso. As Eater reports, the two have taken over the former Little Bird space (835 Geary at Van Ness), which happens to be next door to Whiskey Thieves, to serve quick-and-easy grub from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends, and until 11 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, and 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

They’re hoping for a symbiotic relationship between the bar and Quick Fix, kind of like the one Toronado has with Rosamunde in the Lower Haight.

The menu is still evolving, but for starters they’ve got 4505 Meats’ sausages and chicharones; homemade chili by the cup/bowl, or poured into a Frito pie or onto a chili dog. Soon to come will be “late night dim sum” as well as Cuban sandwiches, tuna melts, meatball subs, rice bowls, vegetarian options, and brunch.
