We're getting word over the wires today that S.F. is poised to become the home of the west coast's first Penthouse Club & Steakhouse in February 2012, though the exact location is being kept secret for now. They say the space is 15,000 square feet, and the new, clearly enormous club will feature gourmet dining, deluxe bottle service, state of the art light and sound systems, as well as yep topless dancers and appearances by Penthouse Pets. If you're the kind of gentlemen who thinks this sounds intriguing, you can sign up here for updates.
There are already eleven other Penthouse Clubs scattered around the country, with locations in New York, Detroit, Reno, Denver, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Houston, Philadelphia, Myrtle Beach, St. Louis, and Tampa, as well as an international location in Moscow.
They promise "four-star dining" via executive chef Juan Martinez, as well as two full bars and three stages.
We're pretty curious where this 15,000 square feet is hiding, but the likely reason for the secrecy is that they're taking over an existing club that wants to stay open through New Year's without announcing the closure. Stay tuned!
Update: They're opening in the former Showgirls space in North Beach on March 15, 2012.
