A little more Yountville news following on the updates regarding the temporary winter hiatuses in Thomas Keller’s empire: Bardessono, the resort which closed their restaurant in November for a revamp, announces the name for the new concept that will be taking over, and it’s Lucy Restaurant & Bar. Named for the matriarch of the Bardessono family, the restaurant will have the same chef, Victor Scargle, and will still offer à la carte and tasting menus, but the concept will be new.

We’re a little short on details as far as what this new concept will be — the former menu being sort of high-end, farm-to-table, California yadda yadda (see the currently posted dinner menu here). But we understand via the Scoop that the interior is getting a full remodel, and the “& Bar” part is a hint that they’re going for something a little less formal, along the lines of what The Ritz just did with Parallel 37. They’re aiming for a late January opening.

Keep in mind that Yountville will be getting another new restaurant next month as well: Redd Wood, the new pizzeria from Richard Reddington.
