What to Eat at Roostertail, Opening December 7 in Lower Pac Heights

Roostertail Rotisserie & Drinks (1963 Sutter Street, at Fillmore), the new chicken-focused restaurant moving in to the former Cafe Kati space, has set its opening date for a week from today, December 7. The new addition to Lower Pac Heights is owned by chefs Gerard Darian (Bix) and Tracy Green (Chapeau!), and the centerpiece of their menu will be Mary’s free-range, air-chilled chickens, spit-roasted and served with sides like three-cheese mac-and-cheese, baked beans, warm bacon slaw, crispy onion rings, and Brussels sprout-bacon hash.

Also, they'll be doing brisket, and offering it either as a plate with sides, as a sandwich, or ... as a cheesesteak sandwich. And there are five salad options, including a daily changing chop salad, and a Rooster Salad,

As for beverages, there'll be tap wine, tap beer, soda fountain drinks, draft root beer, and canned beer too.

Look for them to do eat-in, take-out, and lunch from the get-go.
