Kinky Coffee Shop Closes in SoMa, Hidden Vine Reopens Next Week, and More

SoMa: The S&M;/leather-themed coffee shop known as Wicked Grounds (289 8th Street) has shuttered after the owners failed in a last-ditch effort to raise some capital. Sounds like the place just wasn’t so profitable. [LiveSoMa]
FiDi: Right on schedule, the relocated Hidden Vine (408 Merchant Street) — the wine bar that used to be on the alley across from Le Colonial — is set to open on Tuesday, October 18, now complete with a bocce court! [Urban Daddy]
Tenderloin: We’re not sure what is up with Sutter Pub, which has been in the works at 700 Sutter for over a year now, but owner Roxanne Sotano has just put in for another liquor license, for just beer and wine, which puts this out another few months. [Grub Street]
Mission: Looks like there’s been a name-change for the project going in at 974 Valencia — we earlier reported that it would be called Cyan, featuring Egyptian, Greek and Turkish cuisine, but now the Scoop gets word that it’s going to be called Lot 7, and the concept has changed to a downscale raw bar, featuring oysters, crudos, and such. They’re aiming for mid-November. [Scoop]

Castro: Chile Pies & Ice Cream (314 Church Street) will be doling out free scoops of Three Twins ice cream and samples of green chile stew all weekend. [Eater]
North Beach: Pulcinella (641 Vallejo Street) is shuttering. [Scoop]
