Update on Alembic’s Expansion; Super Duper Opens For Real in the Marina; And More

Upper Haight: It sounds like the Alembic is most probably expanding into the front lobby area of the shuttered Red Vic next door, and the remainder of the space may become a multi-stall marketplace modeled after 331 Cortland. Working title: 1727 Haight. [Tablehopper, Earlier]
Lower Haight: WingWings (422 Haight Street) is hosting a soul food pop-up from Good Foods Caterers tonight starting at 6 p.m. [Twitter]
SoMa: Something is afoot at the former Club Hide (280 7th Street), where a new liquor license has just gone in under the name of a Castro neighborhood restaurateur, Pornchai Hutachinda. [ABC, Grub Street]
Polk Gulch: Mark’s Bar (Polk and Post), which we broke the news about last year and which appears to be a straight-friendly gay bar much like its predecessor the Lush Lounge (which moved up the street and became less gay), has opened. And it is slightly Hawaiian-themed. [Tender]
Marina: The new Super Duper (2201 Chestnut at Pierce) is, finally, definitely open as of 12:30 p.m. today. [Grub Street, Earlier]

Tenderloin: Hyde Away Blues BBQ (457 Hyde at Geary) is now open for lunch on weekdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They’re still open for dinner, too from 5 to 9 p.m. [BigMaysBarbeque/Twitter, Earlier]
Bernal Heights: The Front Porch (65A 29th Street) has landed a full liquor license and now has a full menu of ryes and bourbons as well as “quaint cocktails.” As for the Rock Bar project we heard about earlier, across the street in the International Club space, that is still up in the air.
