Today Meadowood announces the dates and guest chefs for this year’s Twelve Days of Christmas Dinners. The event goes back four years now, and it features a series of dinners in the first weeks of December, each guest-cheffed by a notable out-of-towner and each paired with a Napa winery. This year’s fairly young lineup includes Sean Brock, the chef at Husk in Charleston, South Carolina, which Andrew Knowlton recently named the best new restaurant in the country in Bon Appétit; Top Chef Masters cheftestant George Mendes of Aldea in NYC; and former Portland chef Matthew Lightner, who was featured as a Food & Wine Best New Chef last year, and who recently decamped to New York.
As always, Meadowood executive chef Christopher Kostow will cook the final dinner of the series, on December 17. Also, as always, proceeds from the Twelve Days of Christmas dinners will go to Share Our Strength, helping to end childhood hunger.
